The MC Scow is the newest addition to the Inland Lake Yachting Association (ILYA) sanctioned fleets and also has a very active National Association. It can be sailed single-handed in all wind conditions but a crew member can be added depending upon the skipper's weight and strength of the wind. First conceived in 1950, the MC is based on the M-16 hull. In 1965, today's fiberglass MC scow was designed and today there are more than 2000 boats sailed around the world.
