newWB High School Sailors Compete at MN HIgh School Champs - The White Bear Area High School Sailing Team competed this past weekend in the Minnesota High School Championship at Wayzata. The White Bear Team is made up of students from area schools including Mahtomedi, St. Thomas Academy, and White Bear. The Team practiced under the direction of Coach Mark Dunsworth three days a week since the day the ice went out. White Bear had 10 boats in the event, a testament to the recent success of High School Sailing here. Co-ed competition for the state title was held in 420's in very breezy conditions. Eddie Cox with crew Cole Lee took second place overall, with Wheeler Morris and crew Tim O'Brien finishing fourth. Wheeler and Tim won two of the seven races. Congratulations to the Team on a fine Spring Season! Click Here for full results.
